Yes, it’s that time again. While no longer in name, this is still Wayne’s Weekly Wrap-up, all the same. Well, I say wrap-up, but it’s more like a nag, really.
Blah, Blah! Technology has been bringing technology trends to you for over 2 years, now. But in reality, It’s only this last 6 months or so that I’ve been pushing hard to make this ‘blog what it is.
And those that visit regularly and subscribe to this ‘blog make it what it is.
So I thank you one and all!
But, I need more…
Oh yes. I’m gonna come straight out and say it – I need your link luvin’, baby!
I occupy a strange place in the greater ‘blogosphere. I don’t do the PR tech’ news burp thing.
“What the hell is that?!” I hear you cry. It’s simple: I don’t churn out the latest technology news items as they roll off the production line.
Anyone can do that. It’s boring, adds zero value to what I do and you could read that just about anywhere.
So instead, I take that news, those disparate threads, scattered hither & yonder, hidden amongst those boring and often prosaic press releases. I tease out the lost and often obscure technologies, couched in cryptic terminology and I pull those threads together.
I ask: “What if?” and then imagine a newer, different future. A future based on a confluence of technologies, not previously considered as a whole.
So if you like my stuff, show me the link luv this ‘blog needs to grow, thrive and compete with the big guys and give them a run for their money.
So when you link, don’t just mention the name of the ‘blog in the link text. Try dropping in words & phrases like: “technology trends”, “future technology”, “social networking” and: “search engine technologies”, for example.
You could even use superlatives, like: “great”, “excellent”, “marvelous” and: “brilliant” in conjunction with the aforementioned .. how cool would that be?!
Go on, make this Yorkshireman blush for once.
The more link luv you give me, the more the lidless eyes of those ever-watchful search engines will turn their scrutinizing gaze this way, making this ‘blog synonymous with those luscious words & phrases that I so eagerly and regularly write about.
To link is to like is to luv. Show me how much you care.
Give a link, luv my ‘blog…
