Wayne’s weekly wrap-up: in the Pipes

Sunday, 1 April 2007 — by

I had this idea, which all sort of came about when I was trying to make sense of an idea by Lisa, over at Techslut, which incidentally still doesn’t make any sense to me. But it’s late, so who knows. However, my idea does make sense to me, which I imagine comes as some relief. Anyway, my idea is quite simple: let people see what I’m doing as it’s being done.

Sounds simple enough, and by way of the ‘Net equiv. of plumbing, I made use of Yahoo! Pipes to whip up the Blah, Blah! Technology Live feed!

This one feed aggregates my FeedBurner news feed of this Google Blogger ‘blog, my bookmarks feed, my recent songs feed and my Twitter feed.

During the course of the day, I often add web pages to my bookmarks, I’m usually listening to music, I post to my Blogger account at least once a day, and I’ll now be posting updates on my Twitter web page, too.

So from there, you’ll get to see me in action, as it were. Following me as I find stuff, listen to stuff, read and discover stuff, and hopefully, grow my little community in intriguing ways.

All of which counts for nothing without some participation.

So that’s where you come in.

So if you’re up for something a little more than just my regular news & views, then subscribe to my Blah, Blah! Technology Live feed right now.

Or, alternatively, go and clone my Yahoo! Pipe and do whatever the hell you want with it.

I did?

Is that good?

Better still, is it tax deductible?

And thinking ahead, is it machine-washable?
