Google PageRank update due

Monday, 9 April 2007 — by Wayne Smallman

According to my crude calculations, the Google PageRank metric .. thing, is due for an update some time either this week or the week after.

As of checking, the servers seem unmoved by many of the websites I’ve thrown at them to check if there’s to be any movement in their PageRank.

I had somewhat of an extended hiatus back in ‘05 , which didn’t do my ‘blog ranking any good at all. I dipped from the very threshold of PageRank 5 to very nearly 2.

However, since then I’ve rebounded and I’m back on the cusp of PageRank 5 once more, and all the search traffic goodness that will confer.

Tips & advice

gee I can hardly wait. I wonder if someday the pagerank update will be a national holiday, seeing how much the internet world revolves around Google - kidding.

My sense of sarcasm is very over developed, so I’m sort of hoping my interpretation of your comment is wrong.

There are people not nearly as clued up as you & I.

So, just to clarify, the Google PageRank is just one metric of many used these days to measure to relative success of a website or a ‘blog.

Maybe it’s something I’ll write about shortly, who knows…
