25 things about me…

Saturday, 7 April 2007 — by Wayne Smallman

I suppose there comes a time when a tech’ ‘blogger has to do the social chores and reach out to his / her audience. So hold tight, grab your hat, ‘coz here goes…

I’m not a diarist, so you’re not going to get any deeply dull insights into my otherwise curiously prosaic life, often punctuated by moments of violent social diversions of the female / verbal / satirical / work / odd kind.

So, this is about all you’re ever going to get to know about me, unless you meet me in person, which is different, obviously.

So there you go. The end…

Cool, Wayne! Looks like we have a few things in common… according to the Maya calendar, my mayan name is Planetary Yellow Sun. I could find out yours if you want… it’d be one more thing to add ;-)

Thanks for sharing a little bit about you with us!

@Carolina, that’s weird, but yeah, let’s do it.

@Paty, hi and thanks for the comments.

As I said, there comes a time when one has to share…

That’s a neat profile, Wayne - it just got you my vote on Fuel My Blog.

From one coal miner’s son to another - long may you blog!

Hi Thomas!

Thanks for that, very kind of you.

Me talking about stuff other than technology gives people a little context.

And if I have to do this kind of thing, then I at least try to make it entertaining.

Glad to share…

Ok, Wayne, you asked, you got it. Be warned, I’m no expert so I leave the interpretation to anyone who does know about this stuff. According to the Maya Calendar, your name is “Cosmic Red Moon”. Your mission is to evolve. You purify the earth because you’re guided by the universe. You value loyalty and you enjoy to explore, to be the catalizer and the influencer. …or something. Have a good one!

That’s a pretty heavy thing to lay on me a 10pm.

I need to think about that…

‘17 stone’….why do you make me have to think on a Monday afternoon? - oddly enough I found the answer, 1 stone = 14 pounds, I love google! 2 personal posts in a matter of a couple weeks. Wow. I’m impressed ;)

“‘17 stone’….why do you make me have to think on a Monday afternoon?”

Sorry about that. Over here in Britain, we’re caught somewhere between metric and imperial measurements. So you’ll get a lot of that talking to English people like me.

So I sincerely apologize on behalf of the former British Empire.

“2 personal posts in a matter of a couple weeks. Wow. I’m impressed ;)”

Don’t worry, This isn’t habit forming.

Now that’s out of my system, back to my usual snarky side-swipe technology commentary…

Neat idea…might try it on the weekend slot at Sciencetext. I cannot claim to have a miner dad, but my grandfather definitely was, nor can I claim to be over six foot. But I am an Aquarian, a non-smoker, and drink to excess. I too am areligious but am not faithless.
