Wayne’s weekly wrap-up: going places…
Saturday, 10 March 2007 — by Wayne Smallman
Things are really beginning to move along quite nicely for Octane. I’m enjoying the feast after the desolation of the extended famine that was much of 2006.
I’ve got quite a lot of work on at the minute. Additionally, now that I’ve started to provide hosting to accompany the web design & development, I can offer an end-to-end package, which drastically simplifies the service I offer to my clients.
Also, now that I’ve got my MacBook Pro, I’ve been putting myself about on that interweb thing, and I’m building some interesting little profiles here & there, all of which are bringing in streams of traffic to this here ‘blog.
I’m now starting to find ‘blogs and news sources listing my articles, which is pretty good, not just for incidental as well as direct traffic, but also for generating trusted in-bound links to my ‘blog. Which all helps towards building solid authority with the search engines.
Things I need to do over the next 2-3 months:
- Give some very serious thought to moving my ‘blog onto a different platform.
- Writing more articles for Ezines Articles, and maybe even running some on this ‘blog.
- Write more reviews on software services, especially social software, which is quite current.
- Get more people to subscribe to my news, which is very important for me.
- Get triple-digit traffic on a daily basis, which I’m close to.
I want more traffic! It’s as simple as that.
So my question to you is: is there anything you’d like to see here on Blah, Blah! Technology that isn’t here already, or isn’t done the way you’d like it?
As always, your patience, your persistence and your patronage are greatly appreciated…
